Abstract
The aim of the paper is to answer the question whether convergence between households expenditures structures in the European Union exists. In order to study the phenomenon concepts of ß- and ?-convergences are applied. The research is based on data on households expenditures in the period from 1995 through 2011 provided by EUROSTAT. It covers 27 countries and 12 groups of goods and services according to the COICOP classification. The analysis of results obtained allows to record convergence of both types for majority of structure components.
