The changes of the economic situation in large scale dairy farms in the period 1995-2002

Abstract
This article presents THE changes of the economic situations in the large scale dairy farms depending on their legal forms in the period 1995-2002. It was noted that a number of dairy farms decreased year by year just as in Polish agriculture as a whole. Mainly the smaller farms gave up the production. In all analyzed groups of the farms increase of herd size and milking yield were observed. Above factors result in milk production increase on farms researched. A significant difference was ascertained in the work efficiency, the lowest one was observed in State owned farms, the highest one in private and rented farms.
