Abstract
The aim of the article is the presentation of changes conditioning the economics of agriculture in Poland and Russia, using examples of different models of structural development which have conditioned globalization. Attention was paid to the dissimilarities which conditioned macroeconomics and differentiated paths of obtaining macroeconomic equilibrium which were violated as a result of constitutional transformation. One characterized change concerning agriculture was observed on the basis of the following indicators: prices of foodstuffs, price shears and the parity of earnings of farms. One discussed streams of re-transfers to agriculture based on the methodology of the measurement applied as a result of the World Bank’s appraisal of the economic surplus. Attention was paid to the imbalances among re-transfers to agriculture and the flow of the economic surplus to non-agricultural segments of the economy. Evidence shows imbalances in the considered countries resulting from different models of conversions in agriculture.
