Income and quality of life in semi-subsistence farms from selected regions of Poland

Abstract
In the paper level and structure of disposable income in the sample of 175 farms from świętokrzyskie and wielkopolskie regions were analyzed. Average level of income was comparable with the mean disposable income in the country. Incomes from agricultural and non-agricultural activities had a comparable share, whilst relatively less important were subsidies from the common agriculture policy funds. Only a lesser part of farmers in the sample declared intention of enlarging their farms and scale of agricultural activity.
