Touristic activity of rural and urban population – differences and similarities

Abstract
The article presents a typical destinations of Polish tourist. The research covered the analysis of differences in rural and urban tourism in the period 2003-2005. There is analysis of short (2-4 days), long (5 days and more) and foreign (at least one night abroad) tourism. The data used for investigation was obtained from Touristic Institute. The analysis also covers long-distance and foreign trips in the year 2004 considering the differences and the similarities of a certain tourist groups.
