Abstract
Supervision is listed as one of the non-financial motivators. The findings of conducted research helped to determine the position of supervision among non-financial motivational factors. Over 63% of the respondents perceived supervision as an important motivating instrument. However when juxtaposed with other factors, supervision and resultant evaluation lost their importance. Respondents pointed to salary as the most effective incentive. Promotion turned out to be most important non-financial motivator and supervision took the third position. The paper also presents motivation systems in the studied organization as well as selected motivation theories and staff-motivating methods with particular emphasis on non-financial motivation meth
